Ukraine's Tymoshenko starts two-day visit to Libya

KIEV, May 25 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko left on Monday for Libya on a two-day official visit, Ukrainian media reported.
The visit was not previously announced. Tymoshenko will meet with Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to discuss cooperation in the oil sector, aircraft making, and agriculture, the reports said.
Several documents are expected to be signed, in particular on oil supplies and oil refining.
The premier is accompanied by Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan, Industrial Policy Minister Volodymyr Novytskiy, and Agriculture Minister Yuriy Melnik.
Kiev is interested in Libya's oil deposits and hopes to secure access to them for Ukrainian companies, while Libya is seeking to buy Ukrainian airplanes. On Friday, Ukraine delivered an An-74-TK300 cargo plane to the north African country.
