ANKARA, May 29 (RIA Novosti) - One person was killed and another seven injured when the hot air balloon they were traveling in plummeted to the ground in central Turkey, local media said on Friday.
The incident occurred in Avanos, a town in Cappadocia. The balloon began a rapid descent from a height of 200 meters shortly after take-off.
The reasons for the fall are being investigated.
In late April, 16 tourists were injured in a similar incident in the Egyptian city of Luxor.
