KABUL, June 2 (RIA Novosti) - A family of six died, when a suspected roadside bomb exploded on Tuesday near the Bagram U.S. airbase, 60 kilometers (37 miles) north of Kabul, Afghanistan's Interior Ministry said.
Authorities said the family's car exploded either as a result of a roadside device or suicide bomb. Two women and two children were among the dead.
No one has claimed responsibility.
Afghanistan's Defense Ministry on Tuesday reported a similar incident on the country's eastern border with Pakistan. Taliban militants detonated a roadside bomb as an army vehicle drove passed, killing one young girl and injuring two other civilians.
