
MEXICO CITY, June 4 (RIA Novosti) - Sixteen people died and three others were seriously injured when a bus collided with a truck in north-central Mexico, national media cited officials as saying.
The accident occurred on Wednesday on a highway in the state of San Luis Potosi when the bus driver tried to avoid an animal in the road, and swerved into the oncoming lane, colliding head-on with the truck.
Both vehicles caught fire after the collision. Fourteen passengers and the drivers died, and three others were hospitalized. The investigation is ongoing.
