Pope to receive Barack Obama in Vatican July 10 - Catholic agency

VATICAN, June 24 (RIA Novosti) - Pope Benedict XVI will receive U.S. President Barack Obama in the Vatican on July 10, the Catholic News Service, an American information agency, said.

Earlier diplomatic sources hinted that such a meeting could be held on July 10.

The Holy See press service has neither confirmed nor denied the reports.

On July 8-10, Obama will attend the G8 summit in Italy's Aquila, hit by a powerful earthquake in April.
