U.S. gym shooting leaves at least 3 dead

At least three people have been killed and 10 injured in a shooting at a gym southwest of the U.S. city of Pittsburgh, national media reported on Wednesday.

MOSCOW, August 5 (RIA Novosti) - At least three people have been killed and 10 injured in a shooting at a gym southwest of the U.S. city of Pittsburgh, national media reported on Wednesday.

According to witnesses, the as-yet-unidentified gunman entered Bridgeville's LA Fitness Center through a back door and opened a fire at a Latin dance class. He then took his own life.

The victims were all women.

Police said that at least 60 or 70 people were inside the gym during the shooting.

"Each of us in the LA Fitness family are shocked and saddened by the senseless acts of violence that took place at Bridgeville Club in Pittsburgh this evening," an LA Fitness statement said.
