MOSCOW, September 10 (RIA Novosti) - Nine people are reported to be dead or missing in the Philippines as a result of landslides and floods triggered by a tropical depression, local media reported on Thursday.
According to various reports, between five and six people were killed in heavy rains, including four children aged 2 to 7.
Floods have affected more than 300,000 people in the central and northern Philippines since last Tuesday.
About 20 typhoons and tropical storms lash the Philippine archipelago each year.
