NEW YORK, September 24 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is set to continue transparent and irreversible cuts in nuclear arms, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday at the 64th session of the UN General Assembly.
"Russia will steadily continue with transparent and irreversible arms reduction - an important element in the 'new start' of our relations with the U.S.," he said. "In July we signed a relevant document with the U.S. president."
He called on other nuclear powers to join Moscow and Washington on the issue.
