VIENNA, September 25 (RIA Novosti) - The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed on Friday that Iran has informed the UN nuclear watchdog it is building a second uranium enrichment plant.
"On 21 September, Iran informed the IAEA in a letter that a new pilot fuel enrichment plant was under construction in the country," IAEA official spokesman Marc Vidricaire said.
Iran told the watchdog that no nuclear material had been introduced to the new plant, and enrichment levels would only be high enough to produce nuclear fuel, not a bomb.
