MOSCOW, September 26 (RIA Novosti) - At least 12 people were killed in northwest Pakistan on Saturday in two suicide car bombings, local police said.
At least six died and dozens were injured in a blast outside a bank in the city of Peshawar. The bank is located in a crowded commercial area.
Earlier in the day, a suicide car bomb outside a police station in the town of Bannu killed at least six and injured several others.
Both attacks occurred in the North-West Frontier Province, which borders Afghanistan.
The bombings have sparked fears of a Taliban resurgence in the region, despite the recent killings of several of the group's top commanders in Pakistan.
