France, Spain to use Kyrgyz air baseASTANA, October 6 (RIA Novosti) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on Tuesday to meet with the country's president and to take part in a business forum, Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry said in a statement that the president of France will meet with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the sidelines of the Kazakh-French business forum, which involves representatives of official and business circles from both countries.
Bilateral agreements are expected to be signed during Sarkozy's visit, the ministry added.
According to the data from the Kazakh customs service, trade between Kazakhstan and France in January-August 2009 totaled $2.3 million.
