KABUL, October 24 (RIA Novosti) - Price squabbling at a vegetable market in Afghanistan's capital on Saturday has left one dead and at least four others injured, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
Venders at the market began arguing over prices for goods at the market and words changed to physical assault using anything heavy lying nearby, including large kitchen knives.
Kabul chief police investigator Gen. Sayad Abdul Gafar Sayad-zada told journalists that one man was killed and four others were sent to hospital with various knife wounds and other injuries.
Police have detained one of the brawl participants and he is being questioned.
According to Afghanistan's Health Ministry, 66% of Afghanis suffer from various psychological problems due to the over 30 years of internal armed conflict in the country.
