ASTANA, November 4 (RIA Novosti) - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay an official visit to Italy and the Vatican between November 4 and 6, a spokesman for the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
Yerzhan Ashikbayev said Nazarbayev is scheduled to meet for talks with President Giorgio Napolitano and Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and will be also received by Pope Benedict XVI.
A number of bilateral intergovernmental and commercial agreements in various spheres of cooperation are expected to be signed during Nazarbayev's visit, including an agreement on strategic partnership.
According to the Kazakh Statistics Agency, trade between Kazakhstan and Italy totaled some $4.5 billion in January-August this year, $13.2 billion in 2008, and $8.9 billion in 2007.
