WARSAW, November 5 (RIA Novosti) - Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer will personally take the signed text of the Lisbon Treaty to Rome on November 13, a spokesman for the Czech government said on Thursday.
"Jan Fischer will deliver the document to the Italian Foreign Ministry, where other EU documents are stored," Roman Prorok said.
On Tuesday, Czech President Vaclav Klaus signed the document after the country's Constitutional Court ruled that the ambitious reform treaty was in line with the Czech Constitution.
The Czech Republic was the last EU member state to sigh the treaty, which is currently ratified by all 27 EU members and will come into force on December 1.
The agreement was drafted in the Portuguese capital on December 13, 2007, and introduces fundamental changes to the workings of the European Union.
