The fire flared up at 2:30 a.m. local time (18:30 GMT, Wednesday) and was raging for an hour and a half in a Qingyun county, the news agency said, quoting local officials.

Seven people were rescued from the blaze, three of them suffered minor injuries, Xinhua said.

The investigation is underway.
