More than 50% of the world's computer hacking crimes were carried out from China in 2009, a leading Russian computer security company said in a report on Tuesday.
"In 2009 Kaspersky Lab registered 73.62 million hacking attacks, of which... 52.7% were made from China," the Moscow-based firm said.
Google recently said it had discovered a "sophisticated and targeted attack on our corporate infrastructure originating from China."
The leading global search engine also warned it could pull out of China over Internet censorship concerns.
The Kaspersky group said however that Chinese cyber attacks had decreased by 26% last year against 2008.
In its report, Kaspersky also said that Russian hackers were "unsurpassed" in the field of computer and internet fraud.
