A Thai Airways Boeing 747 with 330 passengers on board made an emergency landing after an engine caught fire shortly after takeoff, a Thai news agency reported on its website on Friday.
The Nation reported that the plane took off from Bangkok on Friday evening, when the fire broke out in one of the engines 20 minutes into its flight. After safely landing, all of the passengers and crew were safely evacuated from the airplane.
An airline spokesman said the airplane had passed all pre-flight inspections.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
