First post-surgery images of Egypt's president shown on TV

Images of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak were shown on television on Tuesday for the first time since he underwent surgery.
The 81-year-old Egyptian leader had a successful gall bladder operation in Germany's Heidelberg University Hospital ten days ago.
The Information Ministry issued pictures and a video of the Egyptian president sitting and talking with his doctors. A government spokesman promised Mubarak would make an address to the nation by the end of the week.
Despite an announcement by doctors that Murbank's life was not in danger, the lack of information and images saw widespread rumors and speculation. Egypt's stock market slumped 5.5% over three days due to worries over the president's health, before finally rebounding on Tuesday.
In his absence, Mubarak was replaced by the Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif.
