Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence from Serbia does not contradict the norms of international law, the president of the UN International Court of Justice said on Thursday.

Hisashi Owada is to deliver an advisory opinion at an open meeting in the Great Hall of Justice of the Peace Palace in The Hague.
