A newborn baby in the Kazakh capital was called Summit in honor of the upcoming OSCE summit in Astana, the ex-Soviet republic's 7th Channel reported on Monday.
The name was chosen by the boy's grandparents who, in accordance with Kazakh tradition, name the first grandson.
The OSCE summit will take place in Kazakhstan on December 1-2, the first after a 10-year hiatus. Some 45 heads of state are expected to attend.
The TV channel suggested that Summit could soon be joined by little Asiada, a girl to be named for the upcoming winter Asian games.
