Soyuz spacecraft with new ISS crew launched from Baikonur

The Soyuz TMA-20 spacecraft carrying a new expedition to the International Space Station (ISS) was launched from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan on Wednesday.

The Soyuz TMA-20 spacecraft carrying a new expedition to the International Space Station (ISS) was launched from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan on Wednesday.

The new crew comprises Russian cosmonaut Dmitry Kondratyev, NASA astronaut Catherine Coleman and European Space Agency astronaut Paolo Nespoli. They will stay on board the ISS for at least 152 days.

The spacecraft has been put into orbit and is scheduled to dock with the ISS on Friday, December 17, at 11:12 p.m. Moscow time (8.13 p.m. GMT).
