Ukrainian opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, who is accused of misusing government funds, has been summoned again for questioning at the Prosecutor General's Office, her party's press service said on Wednesday.
Tymoshenko, who served as Ukraine's prime minister from 2007-2010, was ordered to appear at the Prosecutor General's Office at 11:00 am local time (09:00 GMT) on Wednesday. The politician has already been questioned by prosecutors several times over the past few weeks.
On Monday, the Prosecutor General's Office brought official charges against the former premier for abuse of power. Tymoshenko faces prosecution for spending money intended for ecological programs to pay pensions.
Tymoshenko moved to the opposition after her government was dissolved in March following presidential elections that she narrowly lost to her rival Victor Yanukovych. The opposition criticizes the "pro-Russian" policies followed by the new government and claims the authorities are trying to intimidate their leader.
