A Libyan Learjet plane, used to carry VIPs, crossed Greek-controlled airspace and landed in Cairo on Wednesday, a spokesman for the Greek National Defense General Staff said.
The spokesman said he could not confirm media reports that Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi or members of his family could have been on board.
"The Libyan side has not provided any details; they submitted a flight plan containing the number of passengers on board; but no names were disclosed," the spokesman said.
He said the Libyan plane had been in Greek controlled airspace for about 10 minutes.
