Russian investigators on Thursday said Poland has not honored some of their requests regarding the probe in the jet crash last year which killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski and 95 others.

Russian investigators on Thursday said Poland has not honored some of their requests regarding the probe in the jet crash last year which killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski and 95 others.

A report by the the Inter-state Aviation Committee (MAK) in January blamed pilot error for the April 2010 crash near Smolensk, but the late president's twin brother Jaroslaw Kaczynski condemned the report as a "joke against Poland."

Polish experts argue Russian air traffic controllers gave the pilots incorrect visibility and weather information in the moments before the jet came down in thick fog.

Vladimir Markin, spokesman of the Investigative Committee of the Prosecutor General's Office, said Poland was not quick to respond to Russia's requests for more information, including the Polish panel's analysis of the Russian ATC transcripts.

"Polish authorities have only answered two of the six requests which the Investigative Committee sent to Poland," Markin told reporters in Moscow.

That said, Russia received only partial answers to those two, Markin added.
