At least 21 people died and 40 were injured by two bomb attacks in southwestern Pakistan on Wednesday, the Xinhua agency said.
The first explosion went off near the local government office in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. A suicide bomber driving a car filled with explosives crashed into another car parked near the building, the local Geo TV channel said.
After the blast, a gunman broke into the building and opened fire. When security officers tried to stop him, he blew himself up.
No terrorist network in the country has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
