The extradition hearing for Maxim Bakiyev, son of Kyrgyzstan's ex-president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, has been set for December 7, Westminster Magistrates Court told RIA Novosti.
He was arrested on Friday following a US extradition request relating to charges of conspiracy to defraud and pervert the course of justice in the United States.
Maxim Bakiyev fled to the UK after his father was ousted in 2010, and was detained briefly after landing. He then applied for asylum, and was allowed to stay in the country while his asylum bid was considered.
Interpol listed him as "wanted" by Kyrgyzstan in connection with fraud involving the transfer of $35 million out of the Kyrgyzstan Development Fund into private bank accounts.
He was arrested in London on Friday after voluntarily appearing at a police station.
