MOSCOW, February 4 (RIA Novosti) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Israel of waging “state terrorism” in comments on the recent Israeli airstrike on Syria, Al Jazeera reported on Monday.
“As I say time and again, Israel has a mentality of waging state terrorism. Right now, there is no telling what it might do and where it might do it,” Al Jazeera quoted Erdogan as saying.
Israel’s outgoing Defense Minister Ehud Barak confirmed on Sunday the airstrike on Syria by telling a meeting of the world’s top diplomats in Munich the incident was proof that when "we say something, we mean it."
“Those who have been treating Israel like a spoilt child should expect anything from them, at any time,” Erdogan added.
The Israeli air strike hit the Jamraya military research center northwest of the capital Damascus on Wednesday. Syrian state TV said two people were killed and five injured in the air strike. The building was seriously damaged.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry sent a letter to the UN Security Council earlier this week asking the organization to condemn the attack.

Turkey and the Jewish pariah enclave has been fanning the flames, they themselves created, in tandem since day one. israels feeds on war and unrest in it´s vicinity, we all know that but what about Turkey? Mullah Erdogan has Turkey painted into a very uncomfortable corner.. - bielecThis guy is confused10:07, 04/02/2013Erdogan has to make up his mind. Deos he oppose Israel's illegal expansion in the region or does he support it?
If he opposes it, why is he helping Israel to destabilize Syria? Why is he helping the rebels? Can't he see that the foreign mercenaries, and terrorists operating in Syria with Turkey's help are in fact acting in Israel's best interest?
Erdogan needs to be more consistent in order to be credible.
