MOSCOW, February 17 (RIA Novosti) – Over 20 people were killed and scores of others were injured after several car bombs exploded in Baghdad and its suburbs, local police reported on Sunday.
The attacks mainly targeted outdoor marketplaces in Shiite neighborhoods, the police said.
Three explosions rocked Sadr City targeting civilians in crowded marketplaces and car bombs also went off in Husseiniya, Al Ameen and Kamaliya, security officials said.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bomb attacks.
