“VK.com is a European social network w/100mil users & we JUST launched a profile,” tweeted “Team TC,” this week, adding the Russian-language message “Uvidimsya tam!” (See you there!)
VK, formerly VKontakte, is listed as the second most popular website in Russia by the Alexa web information company. Cruise had almost 16,000 “friends” on the site as of Friday afternoon, two days after the account was launched.
Cruise is a member of the Church of Scientology, a controversial organization accused of brainwashing its members. Church leaders deny the allegations.
