MOSCOW, November 16 (RIA Novosti) - Other Russian-based petroleum mammoths will hardly share the Yukos plight, expects Victor Wekselberg, TNK-BP executive manager. Board Bureau member of the Russian Industrialists' and Entrepreneurs' Guild, he addressed newsmen in the lobby of the 14th Guild congress, which gathered in Moscow today.

"I don't see any reason for similar developments," he replied as a reporter asked him whether other petroleum companies were in for trouble, too.

As for fiscal agencies making claims on the Tyumen Petroleum Company/British Petroleum, the company manager described the situation as mere "scheduled routine".

The latest, 13th Guild congress played a waiting game. The present congress atmosphere is quite different, remarked Mr. Wekselberg. True to their permanent stances, the conferees highlighted business community problems.

President Vladimir Putin made a "reserved address to the congress to dot all i's and cross all t's. Steady economic progress and socio-political stability are out of the question unless the business community and authorities engage in a constructive dialogue. The President is perfectly aware of that, so we can be sure of our future," said the oil boss.

"Very positive," Vladimir Potanin, Interros holding proprietor, described the rulers-businessmen dialogue at the congress. "President Putin and other congress speakers made practical proposals for business/authorities team efforts. They offered ways to update the rulers-businessmen dialogue, and to revive the lost patterns of that dialogue," said the tycoon.
