TOKYO, November 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Japan on an official visit, a presidential aide said Sunday.
Sergei Prikhodko said that on the first day of his visit Putin would attend an art exhibition organized by the Society of Russian-Japanese Friendship.
On Monday, Putin will have breakfast with participants in the Russian-Japanese business forum. He will then hold talks with Japan's Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, following which bilateral agreements will be signed, Prikhodko said.
Putin will conclude his visit by meeting Japan's Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko.
The official visit comes in 150 years after the two countries established inter-state relations by signing the first Russo-Japanese treaty.
