MOSCOW, November 29 (RIA Novosti) - Golden Telecom, Inc., a leading facilities-based provider of integrated telecommunications and Internet services in major cities in Russia and the CIS, said Tuesday it had purchased an additional 5% stake in Rascom through its 100%-subsidary Antel Rascom Ltd., thus acquiring a 54% controlling stake in the company.
A Golden Telecom news release said the deal was worth $1.05 million.
With its former 49% stake in Rascom, Antel Rascom Ltd., which owns communications and infrastructure facilities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, was acquired by Golden Telecom in October for $10 million.
