* Air Force Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Mikhailov said the Russian Air Force would receive 11 Su-27 Flanker fighters by the end of the year and a Tu-160 Blackjack bomber by the end of the first quarter of 2006

* Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov is scheduled to report on the implementation of the 2005 state defense order to the parliament on December 14

* The Russian Defense Ministry reported 120 military personnel killed in accidents or crimes in November 2005, including nine in the Chechen republic

* A Defense Ministry official said Russian transport planes would deliver more than 100 tons of supplies to the Kant airbase in Kyrgyzstan in the near future

* A 19-year-old sailor died aboard the Admiral Panteleyev large anti-submarine ship after breaking electricity safety rules, the Russian navy's press service said

* Ukraine could introduce "asymmetrical" military-political measures in response to Russia's new approach to economic relations with the country, Russian newspaper Nezavisimaya Gazeta said

* The lower house of the Belarusian parliament ratified an agreement on training military specialists for member-countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)

* The defense minister said Russia would continue combat tours of its naval forces, similar to the recent tour of a combat group from the Pacific fleet in the Indian Ocean
