LONDON, April 25 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom Deputy Chairman Alexander Medvedev said Tuesday that the Russian energy giant was still deliberating over the possible purchase of Britain's largest gas distributor, Centrica.
"I won't deny that Centrica is seen as a potential acquisition target," he said in an interview with the BBC's Hard Talk program during the Russian Economic Forum in London.
But he dismissed media reports that Gazprom, which provides a quarter of Europe's gas, was in talks with Centrica.
