MOSCOW, September 2 (RIA Novosti) - Police have seized more than nine kilograms of gold nuggets, worth about 3 million rubles, from a local resident in Yakutia in eastern Siberia, a law enforcement source said Saturday.
The source said police have found gold stashed in a car trunk and a garage belonging to an employee of a local company.
The republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is known for its large gold deposits in the basins of Aldan, Indigirka, and Yana rivers.
