KABUL, March 27 (RIA Novosti) - Afghan law enforcement officers have seized 250 kilograms (550 lbs) of heroin at an office in Kabul, an Interior Ministry spokesman said on Thursday.
The representative said the office was rented by a private firm. All the firm's members of staff were arrested during Wednesday's raid.
Afghanistan accounts for 93% of the global opiate output, with annual turnover of some $4 billion, the spokesman said.
