A delegation of Italian parliament deputies will travel to Russia's Orthodox Christian shrines, Vatican Radio reported.
The pilgrimage date has not been announced yet. The pilgrimage will be led by Roman Catholic Archbishop Rino Fisichella, recently appointed President of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization.
The delegation will visit Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sergiyev Posad, and meet with Russian Orthodox Christian bishops and politicians.
Earlier Italian deputies traveled to the Holy Land, Syria and Turkey.
