LONDON, April 25 (RIA Novosti) - The president of Russia's largest mobile handset retailer said Tuesday the company was planning to enter the European market with a store in Estonia in late spring.
"We are planning to open our first shop in Tallinn, the Estonian capital, in early May," Yevgeny Chichvarkin told a session at the Russian Economic Forum in London.
Chichvarkin said the company was also looking to expand in Central Asia by opening up in Uzbekistan, following the establishment of retail outlets in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Founded in Moscow in 1997, Euroset later entered regional and international markets. It diversified into the non-mobile business by selling foreign-made electronics, including digital cameras, CD and MP3 players. Euroset reported revenues of about $2.2 billion in 2005.
