Gazprombank RAS net profit rises 3%, y-o-y, in 9M06

MOSCOW, October 26 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprombank, a subsidiary of Russian energy giant Gazprom [RTS: GAZP], said Thursday its net profit, calculated to Russian Accounting Standards, (RAS) rose 3%, year-on-year, in the first nine months of 2006, to 11.9 billion rubles (about $440.7 million).

Gazprombank, Russia's third-largest bank in terms of assets, said its pre-tax profit grew 24% in the reporting period, to 18.4 billion rubles (about $681.5 million).

Gazprombank said its assets grew 37% in the reporting period, to 595.7 billion rubles (about $22 billion), and that its shareholder equity rose 32%, to 57.8 billion rubles (about $2.1 billion) as of October 1, 2006.

Loans to customers grew 28%, to 366.7 billion rubles (about $13.6 billion). The value of corporate deposits went up 17%, to 239.5 billion rubles (about $8.8 billion), and the value of individual deposit accounts grew 15%, to 50.5 billion rubles ($1.8 billion).
