MOSCOW, November 28 (RIA Novosti) - Nomos-Bank, a leading Russian commercial investment bank, said Tuesday it planned to place Eurobonds in a volume of at least $125 million in February 2007.

Nomos-Bank President Dmitry Sokolov said the bank planned to approve the bond issue in December this year.

Founded in 1993, Nomos-Bank is on a list of the country's top thirty banks published by the Central Bank of Russia. The bank's assets stood at 87.91 billion rubles (about $3.29 billion), and its shareholder equity was 7.46 billion rubles (about $279 million) as of July 1, 2006.

Sokolov also said the bank intended to hold an IPO in late 2008, in line with its development strategy.

Under the development strategy, the bank intends by 2008 to develop its branch network, retail business, and also relations with medium-sized corporate clients.
