MOSCOW, March 15 (RIA Novosti) - Baltika [RTS: PKBA], a leading Russian brewery, said Thursday its consolidated net profit, calculated to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), rose 42.3%, year-on-year, in 2006, to 330.9 million euros (about $433 million).
Baltika, which completed its merger with three smaller breweries - the St. Petersburg-based Vena, Krasnoyarsk's Pikra and Yarpivo in Yaroslavl - said its sales grew to 1.74 billion euros (about $2.28 billion) in the reporting period, from 1.44 billion euros (about $1.89 billion) a year earlier.
