MOSCOW, April 3 (RIA Novosti) - VolgaTelecom [RTS: NNSI] said Tuesday its net profit, calculated to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), grew 8.5%, year-on-year, in 2006, to 2.45 billion rubles (about $92.3 million).
VolgaTelecom is the leading telecoms operator in the Volga area that provides telephony, mobile communication, data transmission, TV and radio broadcasting services.
The company integrates 11 regional telecoms operators. Russia's state-run telecoms giant Svyazinvest holds a 38% stake in the charter capital of VolgaTelecom.
