Russian monetary base up $1.7 bln in week to $125.2 bln

MOSCOW, April 27 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Central Bank said Friday the country's narrowly defined money supply (M1) was 3 trillion 216.2 billion rubles ($125.2 billion at the current exchange rate) as of April 23, up 42.7 billion rubles ($1.7 billion) in the week since April 16.

According to the Bank, M1 money supply consists of the currency issued by the bank, including cash in vaults of credit institutions, and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Central Bank.
