Bank of Russia's assets up 6.7% to $369.3 bln in March

MOSCOW, May 2 (RIA Novosti) - The Bank of Russia's assets increased 6.7% in March, to 9,485 billion rubles ($369.3 billion) as of April 1, 2007, the bank said in a Web site report Wednesday.

The value of the CBR's precious metals assets stood at 280.09 billion rubles ($10.9 billion), and the value of funds placed among non-residents and securities issued by non-residents was 8.75 trillion rubles ($340.66 billion) as of April 1, 2007, the Bank of Russia said.

The value of the CBR's loans and deposits equaled 7.23 billion rubles ($281.49 million), and the value of funds invested in securities reached 331.693 billion rubles ($12.91 billion) in the same period.

The value of other assets totaled 117.745 billion rubles ($4.58 billion) as of April 1, 2007, the CBR said.
