MOSCOW, May 2 (RIA Novosti) - MegaFon [RTS: MEGF] said Wednesday its US GAAP net income grew 106%, year-on-year, in 2006, to $812.8 million.
Russia's third-largest mobile phone operator said its sales increased 56% in the reporting period to $3.73 billion and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) climbed 66%, to $1.85 billion.
MegaFon was established in 2002. Its shareholders are Finnish-Swedish TeliaSonera (35.6%), Telecominvest (31.3%), CT-Mobile (25.1%), IPOC International Growth Fund Ltd. (8%).
