Rambler Media posts 65% rise in 2006 revenue to $30.6 mln

MOSCOW, June 7 (RIA Novosti) - Rambler Media [LSE: RMG], a leading Russian integrated media company, said Thursday its revenue calculated to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) increased 64.5%, year-on-year, in 2006 to $30.6 million.

Rambler Media, which provides services in three complementary and integrated business areas: Internet services, Mobile Value-Added Services (MVAS) and Television Broadcasting, said its total revenue and investment income climbed 71.7% in the reporting period to $37.7 million.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) from continuing operations rose 9.5%, year-on-year, in 2006 to $1.6 million, the company said.

Rambler Media group includes the Russian-language internet portal and search engine Rambler.ru, the online newspaper Lenta.ru, the broadband service ISP Rambler Telecom, the interactive advertising company Index20, the mobile content service provider Rambler Mobile, and the documentary and entertainment TV network Rambler TV.
