MOSCOW, June 18 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's state-controlled oil company Rosneft [RTS: ROSN] is not considering holding a second initial public offering (IPO) so far, a senior company official said Monday.

Rosneft closed the books July 14, 2006 on its initial public offering, placing 1.4 billion ordinary shares (GDRs overseas) in Moscow and London worth a total of $10.4 billion. The government retained its control over the company after the IPO.

"The first offering was very successful and was aimed at raising significant resources, which the company is now using. But the issue of a second offering is not on the agenda," said Sergei Naryshkin, deputy chairman of the company's board of directors and also a deputy prime minister and chief of the government staff.
