MOSCOW, July 27 (RIA Novosti) - The MICEX said Friday trading in securities hit 227 billion rubles ($8.9 billion) Thursday, a record since the stock exchange was established in 1997.
The previous record was set June 15, when turnover in trading on the MICEX reached 224 billion rubles ($8.8 billion).
Over 232,000 transactions were concluded on the stock exchange Thursday.
The MICEX index reflects the dynamics of prices on the Russian stock market.
