MOSCOW, August 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's largest diamond producer Alrosa [RTS: ALRS] said Tuesday its sales revenue calculated to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) declined 2.6% year-on-year in 2006 to 94.34 billion rubles (about $3.7 billion).
Alrosa, which accounts for 97% of Russia's raw diamond production and 25% of global output, said its sales increased 3.6% year-on-year to almost 44 billion rubles (about $1.7 billion) on the domestic market, declined 5% to 26.9 billion rubles (about $1.1 billion) in Western Europe, and slipped by 10.1% to 23.4 billion rubles (about $918 million) to other countries.
