CHELYABINSK, September 10, RIA Novosti. The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ-Uraltrac) signed machine export contracts to the value of $200 million during the Russian-Indonesian business forum, says Yevgeny Teftelev, head of the industry and natural resources department of the Chelyabinsk regional administration.
“This is a framework contract, which specifies only the sum. We shall know the details later on, so I cannot say now just how many items the contract envisages,” he told RIA Novosti.
The contact concerns traditional ChTZ-Uraltrac export items – bulldozers, pipe layers and lift trucks, Teftelev added.
“The machines will be used for railroad and highway construction in Kalimantan. The company intends to establish a maintenance and service center there, and train personnel on the spot. Several Indonesian banks engaged in the project will soon visit the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant to see its work,” a spokesman for ChTZ-Uraltrac said.
The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ-Uraltrac) is the largest CIS-based company designing and manufacturing industrial tractors and their engines. It has tremendous technological and production potential.
